Property crimes detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 40 year old Julius Smith of Fresno and 27 year old Amy Childress of Clovis.  Smith and Childress are in a dating relationship.

On March 29, 2018, detectives served a search warrant at the suspects’ home located on the 1900 block of N. Vagedes Ave. in Fresno.  The search warrant was part of a follow up investigation to a vehicle burglary that occurred near Bullard and McCall Avenues in Clovis.  Deputies utilized a narcotics K-9 while searching the house and they discovered two pounds of methamphetamine, four ounces of marijuana and a small amount of cocaine.  A 14 year old was also found to be living at this home.  Detectives placed the child with personnel at Child Protective Services (CPS).  Childress is the mother of the child.
