On July 11th, property crimes detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31 year old Ruben Walker of Auberry, 30 year old Brian Hall of Auberry, 41 year old Michelle Berry of Auberry and a 17 year old boy from Auberry.
Walker, a known gang member, faces felony charges of assault with a firearm, robbery, battery, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon and probation violation. His bail is set at $191,000, but he is not eligible for bail on the probation violation hold.
Hall faces felony charges of auto theft and possession of stolen property. His bail is set at $37,500.
Berry faces felony charges for possession of stolen property. She has since bailed out of jail.
The 17 year old boy faces felony charges of robbery and battery.
On June 28th, sheriff’s deputies took a report of a strong armed robbery that took place on the 37000 block of Auberry Mission Road. The victim claimed Ruben Walker threatened him with a gun, beat him unconscious and stole his vehicle. Deputies later learned Brian Hall and Michelle Berry had taken possession of that stolen vehicle.
On July 11th, members of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Air Support Unit, SWAT team, Kings County Sheriff’s SWAT team, Clovis Police SWAT team and Adult Compliance Team (ACT) served search warrants at two homes in Auberry. One located on the 37000 block of Auberry Mission Road and the other on the 32000 block of Doodle Bug Lane. During this time, deputies and officers arrested three suspects and recovered evidence tied to the initial robbery. A total of five children were also found at the homes and they were placed in the care of Child Protective Services (CPS).
