At 12:45 am Monday, Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 7-Eleven store located at 385 W. Shaw Avenue in Fresno for a report of an armed robbery. The investigation showed that two men entered the store wearing masks and were carrying handguns. They pistol whipped the clerk, stole his cell phone, took some tobacco products and an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. An employee with a private security company happen to pull into the parking lot and saw the two suspects run out of the store. The security guard believed they had done something wrong, so he followed them to nearby Maroa Ave. One of the suspects pointed a gun at the guard and made a threatening remark, which made him stop pursing them. The suspects got into a dark colored car, possibly a Dodge Charger, and drove away.

Members of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit collected evidence at the store, including surveillance video, which helped them to identify the two suspects. On Tuesday, March 22nd, detectives located Estrada at a home on the 1500 block of N. Brooks in Fresno. On Wednesday, March 23rd, detectives found Santana at a home on the 5500 block of N. Dickenson in Fresno. Both men were arrested without incident.
