The crime occurred on July 12, 2016, at 1:15 am.
Around 6:15 in the morning, a security guard discovered evidence of a break-in at the Quail Lakes Community Pool. He discovered several empty beer cans lying on the ground. He also found some pool furniture, three lounge chairs and a regular chair, had been thrown in the pool. Two tables had also been moved near the front entrance and one had damage to it. The estimated damage totaled $2,500.00
A review of surveillance cameras showed five people (three young women and two young men) had broken into the pool area, which was closed. They swam, drank and hung out until 2:45 am. Video also captured one of the men (with noticeable tattoos) vandalizing the furniture. A report was made to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives began an investigation and identified a man and woman as possible suspects. They were interviewed and it was determined that they were not responsible.
