An 18-year-old man is listed in critical condition at Community Regional Medical Center after suffering a gunshot wound.

At 12:30 am Sunday, deputies were dispatched to a call of shots fired at the intersection of E. Manning and Sheridan Ave. in Reedley.  Deputies discovered a large party was taking place at a nearby home.  Witnesses told detectives that a car sped away shortly after the shots rang out.  Reedley Police officers later notified deputies that a group of people had shown up at Reedley Hospital and one of the men had sustained a gunshot wound.  The victim was transported to CRMC and rushed into surgery.  His injuries are considered life-threatening.  This is an ongoing investigation and it’s possible this is a gang-related shooting.

Detectives have interviewed several witnesses and they are now seeking additional help from the public locating the suspect(s).  Please contact the Detective Jeff Stricker at (559) 600-8205 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP (7867).
