Property crimes detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a man who robbed a Selma store clerk at gunpoint.
At 6:15 pm on Sunday April 24th, a man walked inside the EZ Stop Mini Market located at 11024 S. Fowler Ave. in Selma. He drew a handgun and pointed it at the clerk, demanding money. The employee immediately ran out the backdoor of the store. The suspect then picked up a cash register off the counter and yanked out the cords. He carried the register outside and through the parking lot while talking on his phone. He met up with a car driving on S. Fowler Ave., got into the passenger seat and the car sped away. The exact amount of cash inside the register is unknown.
The suspect is described as black, late teens to early 20s, 5’7”, medium build, wearing a Nike beanie and bandana over his face. The car he fled in is possibly a tan or cream colored Lincoln Town Car with a possible partial plate of “5P”.
Anyone with additional information on the suspect in this case is asked to please contact Detective Scott Schwamb at (559) 600-8174 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP (7867). All tips will remain anonymous and you may be eligible for a cash reward.
