The Fresno County Public Safety Association is hosting a fundraising event to benefit the family of injured Fresno County Sheriff’s Correctional Officer Malama Scanlan.
It takes place Friday, September 15 from 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District, 808 4th St, Clovis, CA 93612. It will have a Polynesian theme that features dinner, a DJ, no host bar and a silent auction. Tickets are $30 per person.
Malama Scanlan was shot and injured on September 3, 2016 while engaging a gunman inside the lobby of the Fresno County Jail.
Scanlan is currently at a medical facility in Colorado where he is receiving specialized neurological based therapy. His health continues to slowly move in a positive direction.
