The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a recent homicide.
He is Yonnathan Ishmael Orellana Guardado, a 19 year old from the Winnetka neighborhood in Los Angeles. Detectives are trying to learn Guardado’s whereabouts before his death, as well as identify any of his friends and associates. Sheriff detectives are currently in Los Angeles conducting interviews with Yonnathan Guardado’s family members and friends.
Around 8:30 am on Friday, August 4th, Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a field near W. Panoche Road and Interstate 5 in Firebaugh regarding a body in a field. An employee checking irrigation lines in an orchard found a man who appeared to be deceased. Based upon the injuries deputies found on the man (Guardado), homicide detectives were requested to respond to the scene and take over the investigation.
