At noon on Friday, injured Correctional Officer Juanita Davila walked out of Community Regional Medical Center and returned home. She is in good spirits and looks forward to resting at home surrounded by her family.
The community donated a total of $37,450 to Officers Davila and Scanlan during the BBQ event on Thursday. We at the Sheriff's Office want to say thank you for the support!
Officer Scanlan remains in critical condition at the hospital. Although his recovery may take longer than Juanita’s, we at the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office are hopeful that he too will experience a day where he walks out of the hospital and returns to his home.
