***Update*** The Coroner’s Office has determined that former Fresno County Jail inmate George Dominguez died from a medical issue. He suffered complications due to a chronic peptic ulcer.
On July 7th, Correctional officers were notified by inmates that 52-year-old Dominguez had collapsed in the shower. Medical personnel responded and found him lying on the ground; he had a pulse and was breathing. An ambulance took Dominguez to the hospital, where he passed away a short time later.
Dominguez was a Fresno resident who was booked into the jail on July 3rd for felony drug possession.
