Around 10:45 am on January 4, Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a house on the 1900 block of N. Temperance Ave. in Fresno for a report of a home invasion robbery.

A preliminary investigation shows a man in his early 20 was the victim in this case.  He was at home and chose to go online to a dating website, in search of a prostitute.  The man made an agreement with the woman to meet at his house.  The woman arrived along with another woman. Shortly after they were together, a man busted through the door armed with a gun and held the man at gunpoint.  The group of suspects ransacked the home and got away with jewelry, a rifle and the victim’s cell phone.  After the suspects fled the home, the victim ran to a neighbor’s house and dialed 911.

Deputies arrived and began conducting a search of the property.  While doing so, two unsecured dogs approached a deputy in a viscous manner.  In order to protect himself, the deputy shot both dogs, seriously injuring them.  Deputies later found the victim hiding on the property.  They informed him of what happened to his dogs.  The victim refused to have animal control respond to the house.  Instead, he arranged to have the dogs taken to the veterinarian for medical treatment.

Deputies interviewed the victim and he described all three suspects as being Hispanic.  No other specific details were given.
