Fresno County Sheriff’s homicide detectives have obtained video with a time stamp of a vehicle possibly tied to an unsolved double murder case.
On December 11th, 2017, 88 year old Cynthia Houk and her daughter, 55 year old Jennifer DuPras, were found shot to death inside Houk’s home located on the 6200 block of N. Colonial Ave. in Fresno. Following the murders, detectives made a request to the public for any surveillance video they may have captured in the area of Bullard, Maroa, Sierra and Palm Avenues. Detectives received calls and later collected multiple videos from citizens which were recorded between Friday, December 8th and Monday, December 11th.
On several videos, detectives discovered an image of what appears to be a white crew cab Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck. Some distinct features of this truck include: Alloy rims, a towing hitch, a toolbox in the bed and a decal sticker on the rear portion of the bed. The newest video shows the truck traveling south on Maroa Ave., near Bullard Ave. at 3:45 pm on December 9th. Another video clip shows what appears to be the same truck heading east on Shaw Ave., near Blackstone Ave. at 3:50 pm on December 9th. Based upon information developed during the investigation, detectives have reason to believe the person driving the truck may have been involved in the homicides.
