On Friday, March 27th, the Fresno – Clovis New Car Dealers Association presented Brianna Ramirez with a $10,000 scholarship award.

The Fresno - Clovis New Car Dealers Association is an active group of business leaders. They are dedicated to supporting our community through the following:  philanthropic activities with many local nonprofit organizations, higher education with the Association’s Automotive Scholarship Awards and helping local businesses grow by promoting the Shop Local Campaign.

Vice President, Mark Schultz, says Brianna’s difficult situation caught his group’s attention and made them want to help her and her family.

“During this trying ordeal and the senseless violation of Ms. Ramirez's safety and enjoyment of her teenage years, Brianna has demonstrated the most noble of our shared human qualities; including peaceful serenity, understanding acceptance, kind humility and focused determination. She has demonstrated quiet strength and kept her conviction to finish Sanger High School and pursue a career in medicine as a pediatric nurse helping the community in which she lives. This is a most magnificent of pursuits and I join my fellow officers and board of directors of The Fresno/Clovis New Car Dealers Association in expressing our proud support of Brianna Ramirez in her quest of higher education with a generous scholarship grant for college,” said Schultz.

The money will be put aside in an account for Brianna to use for any of her post high school educational needs.  The sophomore has a 3.2 GPA.  Prior to her injury, she was a 2nd baseman for her school’s softball team.
