***UPDATE*** Around 11:00 pm Friday, deputies found Robert Herndon. He is safe.
Fresno County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing “at-risk” man.
81 year old Robert Herndon was last seen around 1:00 pm on Friday. Herndon drove away from a home on the 20000 block of Suncrest Lane, which is near N. Piedra and Thermal Roads in Sanger. He was in a white Ford Excursion SUV, which has pictures of a Doberman Pinscher dog on all four doors. Herndon was wearing a black shirt and blue jean shorts.
Herndon suffers from dementia and Parkinson’s Disease, which requires him to take medication. For the sake of his health, it is critical that he be found as soon as possible.
Herndon is described as being white, 5’10”, 180 lbs. with brown eyes and brown hair. He wears glasses.
A Silver Alert has been activated through the California Highway Patrol. The purpose of the Silver Alert program is to establish a quick response system following an unexplained or suspicious disappearance of an elderly person, or person who is developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired.
