The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the man found dead in Reedley on Saturday. He is Lorenzo Torres, 20, of Dinuba.
On January 7th, agriculture workers reported to the Sheriff’s Office they had found a deceased man in a field near Navalencia and American Avenues in Reedley. Deputies arrived and located the victim, who had been shot multiple times. Homicide detectives responded to the scene and began an investigation. A motive for the killing is unknown and no suspects have been identified.
This marks the first homicide of 2017 in Fresno County.
