Members of the Fresno Sheriff’s Office, Clovis Police Department, California Highway Patrol, Fresno Police Department, Fresno Fire, Cal Fire and others from the community will hit the pavement on June 20th to raise money for local Special Olympics athletes.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run will begin with a ceremony at Chukchansi Park at 8:00 am and be followed by the Honor Guard's Presentation of Colors.  Officers, athletes and members of the public will begin their run at 9:00 am, traveling through Courthouse Park, up Blackstone Avenue and across Shaw Avenue.  The 9-mile run will end at Dog House Grill and a closing ceremony will take place at the restaurant. 

The public is encouraged to root on the officers and athletes along Blackstone and Shaw Avenues. The Torch Run is seeking donations to support 16,000 special needs athletes.

The run is open to the public.  Register at www.torchrunsonc.com  The cost is $25.00.  Every participant will receive a dry-fit T-shirt and a meal at Dog House Grill (Tri-tip sandwich and beverage).
