The Fresno County Sheriff's Office has received reports that some people are running a scam, calling folks to solicit donations, claiming they are with the FSO and need money to benefit fallen Deputy Sergeant Rod Lucas.
Do not fall into these trap. Instead, only trust the account established by our personnel. We do not call for donations. This is a completely voluntarily act which must be initiated by citizens.
The Fresno Deputy Sheriff’s Association (FDSA) has established the following account, which is the only one the public should trust.
Checks can be made payable to FDSA and in the memo column write Rod Lucas Memorial Fund.
