Members of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit have identified 81 year old Joyce Kozlowski of Coalinga as the victim of a deadly shooting.
Sheriff's homicide detectives have arrested 84 year old Clarence Kozlowski of Coalinga. He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on a murder charge.
On Friday, September 14th, 2018, just after 10:30 am, officers from the Coalinga Police Department responded to a home on the 300 block of Jefferson St. on a request for help.
Officers entered the home and located an 84 year old man (Clarence Kozlowski) and an 81 year old woman (Joyce Kozlowski). She sustained a single gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was immediately detained for further questioning. Once the incident was determined to be a homicide, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office was requested to have detectives take over the investigation.
The last homicide in the city of Coalinga was in August 2018.
