Homicide detectives with Fresno County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 23 year old Edward Elizondo of Parlier.
He is facing a charge of murder. Earlier this month, detectives contacted Elizondo in prison, where he was serving a sentence for firearms charges. He is now in the Fresno County Jail awaiting court proceedings.
Shortly before 9:00 pm on March 16, 2018, Parlier Police officers responded to a call of multiple shots fired near the Quail Run Apartments, located at 13500 Tuolumne Street in Parlier. Officers arrived and found a man lying in the driveway of the complex who had been shot and killed. He was later identified as 20 year old Jorge Reynosa of Reedley.
Sheriff’s detectives took over the investigation, which revealed Reynosa was walking in front of the apartment complex when he had an encounter with Elizondo. Multiple shots were fired and Reynosa was struck. A motive for this shooting has not been established.
