Shortly before 9:00 pm on Friday, March 16th, Parlier Police officers responded to a call of multiple shots fired near the Quail Run Apartments, located at 13500 Tuolumne Street in Parlier.
Officers arrived and found a man lying in the driveway of the complex who had been shot and killed. Officers closed off the surrounding area and requested Fresno County Sheriff’s homicide detectives respond to the scene to take over the investigation.
Detectives arrived along with members of the Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit. They canvassed the area, collected evidence and spoke with potential witnesses. The preliminary findings show the victim was walking in front of the apartment complex when he had an encounter with the suspect(s). Multiple shots were fired, striking the victim an unknown number of times.
A description of the suspect(s) is unclear at this point. It is unknown if they were on foot or in a car when firing the shots. A motive has also not been established.
The victim has been identified as 20 year old Jorge Reynoso of Reedley.
This marks the 1st homicide of 2018 in the city of Parlier. The Sheriff’s Office investigated one homicide in Parlier in 2017.
