The Fresno County Sheriff – Coroner’s Office would like to make the public aware of a registered sex offender who is now living in Fresno County. The California Department of Justice classifies 69 year old Michael Fellows as a Sexually Violent Predator (SVP).

On Monday of this week, the California Peace Officers’ Association (CPOA) presented Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputy Lieutenant Brandon Pursell, Deputy Sergeant Arley Terrence and Correctional Lieutenant Michael Porter with an Award of Valor. The presentation occurred during the COPSWEST Training & Expo in Palm Springs. All three were recognized for their heroic efforts made in response to a 2016 shooting inside the lobby of the Fresno County Jail.

Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested 34 year old Anthony Garza of Fresno. He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on multiple charges of burglary, possession of stolen property, attempting to steal a car and evading police. His bail is set at $203,500.
